First Great Western 4th January 2007
17:04 Bristol Temple Meads to Oldfield Park was only 1 carriage resulting in severe overcrowding and people unable to board.
Over the PA the train guard apologised for the "crap service". "I have no idea where the other 2 carriages are and neither does the driver" he told passengers and assured them them they would stop longer at stations to allow pasengers pinned down in the middle of the crowded carriages to disembark.
Of course this service, which used to be 3 carriages under Wessex trains, is now usually 2 carriages, which is not enough. It now looks like we will be lucky to get 2.

1 Comments:
On Friday 5th January the 1722 departure from Temple Meads to Portsmouth had only 2 carriages instead of the usual 4. We did get an apology. Just getting people on and off delayed both this train and the London-bound one behind it.
